Intermittent Fasting for weight loss– Day 1

Intermittent Fasting Blog – Day 1

🌞 Morning Update

Fasting Window: I did a 17-hour fast today.

Start: My fasting started at 7:00 pm yesterday.

End: I broke my fast at 12:00 noon with fruits.

Morning Drink: After waking up, I had warm lemon water (a little lukewarm water with lemon).

🍴 First Meal (Opening the Fast)

Time: I didn’t eat anything in the morning. I broke my fast at noon with fruits.

What I ate: 1 banana, 1 orange, and 1 guava.

Experience: Honestly, I didn’t face much trouble today, but yes, I felt very hungry. To control my hunger, I had green tea, black coffee, lemon water, and plain water. My energy level was a bit low, but I managed it well because I have done intermittent fasting challenges before. In fact, in just five months, I had lost 11 kg. So I already have experience with this, and I managed today quite well.

🍲 Meals Throughout the Day

Evening Snack: At 5 pm, I had only one cup of green tea and a few peanuts.

Dinner: At 7 pm, I ate two bananas, one sweet lime, and two sapotas (chikoo). At 8:30 pm, I had a cup of black coffee to maintain my energy.

💪 Activity / Exercise

In the morning, I did a 15-minute workout. Since this was my first day, I kept it short—just 10–15 minutes.

I have set a daily target of 10,000 steps, and today I completed 11,400 steps. I plan to continue this target throughout my 60-day intermittent fasting challenge. Walking 10,000 steps usually takes me about 1.5 hours.

Experience: No doubt, I felt a little low on energy at night, so I had lemon water and went to bed by 11:30 pm.

⚖️ Progress Tracker

Today’s weight: 65.40 kg

Let’s see in tomorrow’s blog how much weight I have lost.

✨ Reflection / Motivation

Right now, my only motivation is to get back to being as fit as I was before. My earlier weight was 57 kg, so I have set that as my target again. This extra weight came after my delivery, and now my baby is 1.5 years old. So this is the right time for me to focus on myself and return to my earlier fitness routine. That’s my motivation—to get back in shape.

🎯 Focus for Tomorrow

Tomorrow I will follow the same routine. I am doing intermittent fasting mostly with fruits, and my fasting window is usually 16–17 hours daily.

👉 I would really suggest you try this too. It’s a great way to take care of your body and your future. No matter how busy we are, we should always take out some time for ourselves. Stay fit, stay active, and eat healthy foods.
